Not everyone perceives colours in the same way
Does everyone perceive colours in the same way? If I say “that apple is dark red”, and you also say “that apple is dark red”, we both agree that the apple is dark red, but are we experiencing exactly the same dark red in our mind’s eye?
That interesting question is impossible to answer, as we have no way to access other people’s perceptions. Nonetheless, it is a fascinating topic to explore, as there are some people across the population who do experience different colour perceptions, and alternate ways ways of experiencing colours: those with limited colour vision, and those with synesthesia.
